Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officers that a detailed plan should be made to connect those displaced from the affected areas of Joshimath with self-employment. The livelihood of the displaced should not be affected. For this, plan ahead and work ahead.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the ongoing relief work in the landslide affected area at Joshimath at the Secretariat on Friday. He said that all possible facilities will be provided by the government to the places where the affected people will be displaced.
The Chief Minister took information from the officials regarding the studies of those students who have board exams this year. He said that the children of the affected areas should not face any kind of problem in their studies and examinations. For this also all necessary arrangements should be ensured. Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Secretaries R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha and SN Pandey were present in the meeting.

In-depth assessment of DM rehabilitation and relief expenditure:
The Chief Minister directed the Secretary, Disaster Management, to make a thorough assessment of the amount required for rehabilitation and other necessary arrangements for the people of the affected area of Joshimath. The assessment should be done keeping all the points in mind by keeping constant coordination with the District Magistrate Chamoli and on the basis of the suggestions of the local people.
