To increase the participation of migrants in a strong Uttarakhand, an International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference will be organized in Dehradun on January 12. Through this, the state government will encourage migrant Uttarakhandis to invest in the state. So far, migrant Uttarakhandis from 15 countries have registered to participate in the conference. On Tuesday, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reviewed the preparations for the International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference at the Secretariat. The conference will have four sessions based on industry, tourism, skill development and agriculture and horticulture. In which migrant Uttarakhandis will be encouraged to invest in the state on the basis of expertise.
Possibilities of aroma sector will be presented to the migrants
Possibilities of investment in manufacturing, energy, startup sector, tourism hospitality and wellness from the Industry Department, skill development, employment abroad and higher education sector from the Skill Development Department and horticulture, herbal medicine, aroma sector from the Agriculture Department will be presented to the migrants. Apart from this, migrants will be requested to adopt a village in the state. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary has directed to organize an exhibition of the state’s folk culture, food, local handicrafts, products during the conference. He has directed to appoint the Secretary of the concerned department as the nodal officer for each session. He directed the district administration to make proper arrangements for cleanliness of the city and the venue, parking arrangements, liaison officers for welcoming the migrant guests coming from abroad, transport, protocol, accommodation, traffic during the conference. Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Sachin Kurve, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Vinod Kumar Suman and other officers were present in the meeting.
