Governor and CM Dhami jointly inaugurated “Indian Warning Information and Navigation Service” and “Maritime Information Chart”.

On the occasion of Navy Day, Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmeet Singh participated as the chief guest in the program organized at the National Hydrographic Office, Rajpur Road. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present in the programme. On this occasion, the Governor and the Chief Minister jointly inaugurated the “Indian Warning Information and Navigation Service” and “Maritime Information Chart”, and appreciated the contribution of the Navy in the security of the country after visiting the naval exhibition.
Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmeet Singh while wishing Navy Day said that we all are proud of the Indian Navy. He said that today is also a day to remember the achievements of the Indian Navy’s ‘Operation Trident’ during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The Governor said that the Indian Navy is doing the work of map making along with the transformation, digitization, it is a matter of pride for all of us.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also congratulated the officers and employees of Navy on the occasion of Navy Day and said that the history of Navy has been of bravery and valour. The way the Navy has started preparing digital maps using science and technology in the National Hydrographic Office, it is realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
During this, Navy officers including Chief Hydrographer, Vice Admiral Adhir Arora Joint Chief Hydrographer, Real Admiral Lochan Singh Pathania were present.
