The people of Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Pauri districts of Garhwal division including the pilgrims coming for Char Dham Yatra will now get heart related treatment at the base hospital of Srinagar Medical College. In fact, under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Meditrina Health Group has started operating Cardiac Unit at Base Hospital, which was inaugurated today by State Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. On this occasion, the Assistant Professors, who got permanent appointment in the Medical College, warmly welcomed the Health Minister and also honored him.
State Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat formally inaugurated the Cardiac Unit operated by Meditrina Health Group at Base Hospital of Srinagar Medical College today. Dr. Rawat told that the people of Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pauri and Tehri districts will be benefited by starting the Cardiac Unit in the Medical College, as well as the pilgrims coming on the Char Dham Yatra. He said that Meditrina Group would operate the Cardiac Unit during the travel season under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), after which the State Government would decide to operate the Cardiac Unit on PPP mode. Health Minister Dr. Rawat handed over appointment letters to 18 regularly appointed assistant professors in the medical college, along with he expected the doctors to provide better health services to the patients, so that the name of the medical college could be raised.
He said that the state government has recently given appointment to 171 faculty members in medical colleges, in which 18 faculty have taken posting in Srinagar Medical College. Said that soon enough faculty will be available in Srinagar, Dehradun, Almora and Haldwani medical colleges. Along with this, the release of Reader and Professor will be released soon. Due to which there will be no shortage of doctors in the medical colleges of Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, the Principal of the Medical College Dr. CMS Rawat has expressed gratitude to the Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat for providing permanent faculty in the Medical College. Said that with the opening of the cardiac unit, if any serious case related to cardio comes during the Chardham Yatra or at the local level, it would be able to get early treatment.
Center Head of Meditrina Hospital Dehradun Bhavesh Moga told that within 15 days after the opening of the Cardiac Center, Cardiac OPD will also be started here.
On this occasion, MS Dr. Ravindra Bisht, Dr. KS Butola, Dr. Vyas Kumar Rathair, Dr. AK Pandey, Dr. Vicky Vaxi, Dr. Arjun Singh, Dr. Victor along with all the faculty were present at Base Hospital.
