The monsoon rain is likely to be active across the state in the next two days. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall on Thursday and Friday in seven districts including Dehradun. In view of the red alert in these districts, the State Disaster Management Authority has instructed the District Magistrates to remain on alert. On Tuesday afternoon, there was rain on the high peaks of Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts. During this, there was snowfall on the peaks of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham.
Director of Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Dehradun, Pauri, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar for Thursday and Friday. In view of this, the Disaster Management Department has instructed all the departments to remain on alert and complete all the preparations in time. During this period, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pithoragarh and Almora districts. In view of this, an orange alert has been issued in these six districts.

Sunshine prevailed amidst light clouds in Doon city and surrounding areas on Wednesday, due to which the maximum temperature was 34.2 degrees Celsius, five degrees Celsius above normal, and the minimum temperature was 23.4 degrees Celsius, one degree Celsius above normal. The maximum temperature of Udham Singh Nagar was 33.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees Celsius above normal, and the minimum temperature was 33.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees Celsius above normal. The maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 23.1 and the minimum temperature was 15.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Tehri was 24.9 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature was 16.4 degrees Celsius, one degree Celsius below normal.
