Now, on the lines of 108 ambulance service in Uttarakhand, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh is going to start heli ambulance service. With the start of this service, the seriously injured from any area of the state can be quickly transported to AIIMS Rishikesh with the help of heli ambulance.
On October 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally launch this service virtually. This information was given by Prof. Meenu Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Rishikesh. Prof. Meenu Singh said that this will be the first heli ambulance service in the country. This service operated under Sanjeevani Yojana will be free. The service toll-free number will be issued soon. Its benefits will be available in entire Uttarakhand. Told that in the program to be held on October 29, Prime Minister Modi will join virtually and inaugurate the service. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will be specially present in the program. Told that the service is being trialed.
Only the really needy will get help
Acting Director of AIIMS Rishikesh Prof. Meenu Singh told that a special structure has been prepared to identify the really needy so that the heli ambulance service is not misused. Told that in case of an accident in any area, the injured is taken to the nearest government hospital. If the doctor finds the condition of the injured to be dangerous and feels the need for necessary treatment within a few hours, then on their recommendation, the benefit of heli ambulance can be availed with the help of local administration. Told that the patient whose condition is most dangerous will be given priority in the heli ambulance.
This will be the scope of benefit
Prof. Meenu Singh told that the benefit of heli ambulance service can be availed in the whole of Uttarakhand. Said that the benefit of heli ambulance service will also be availed in some parts of Uttar Pradesh bordering Uttarakhand.
Control room will be connected to District Disaster Management
Acting Director of AIIMS Rishikesh Prof. Meenu Singh said that the District Disaster Management Offices in all the 13 districts of Uttarakhand will be connected to the control room of AIIMS Heli Ambulance Service. If there is a major disaster or road accident in the state, in which someone is really in need, then he will be able to get the benefit of Heli Ambulance Service on the recommendation of the District Disaster Management Office.
This is Sanjeevani Yojana
Prof. Meenu Singh said that the Center and State Government are jointly operating the Sanjeevani Yojana. The Center and the State will bear 50-50 percent of the expenses. Told that under the scheme, it is necessary to benefit at least 30 needy people every month in the Heli Ambulance. Said that the AIIMS administration will try to ensure that as many needy as possible get the benefit of the service.
The Heli Ambulance will be hi-tech
All the necessary life saving equipment including ventilator will be available in the Heli Ambulance. Necessary medical staff including a doctor will be deployed in it. Only one patient can be taken in the ambulance at a time.
