How to get back on track the loss from disaster, overcoming this challenge is a priority: CM Dhami

admin August 30, 2025

The grand event of the three-day ‘Main Uttarakhand Hoon’ Conclave Season-3 organized by the country’s first app-based radio ‘Oho Radio’ has started. On the first day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the program. During this, he also participated in the session and shared experiences related to his personal life. Along with this, the disaster in the state was also explained in detail. Said that how to get back on track the loss from disaster and overcoming this challenge is a priority. During this, the Chief Minister also hummed the song ‘Uttarakhand Meri Matribhoomi, Uttarakhand Meri Janmabhoomi, Om Bhoomi Teri Jai Jaikar Meru Himalaya’. ‘Dainik Jagran’ is playing the role of media partner in the program. On Friday, two sessions were held on the first day of the conclave organized at Hotel Fairfield by Marriott on Mussoorie Road. In the first session, Oho Radio CEO RJ Kavya interacted with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Along with his life, the Chief Minister spoke on the stage about Uttarakhand. What can be done about weather forecasting in case of disaster in the mountains. On this, the Chief Minister said that disaster has become our constant companion. We have to face it every year. This is a big reason behind global warming and environmental change not just in Uttarakhand but in the world. Disaster struck many places including Tharali, Sianchatti, Pauri’s Paithani, Saanji, Chepdo, Kapkot, Jakholi and there was loss of life and property. We cannot stop the disaster but the government is working on how to overcome the challenge of disaster. All the agencies, army, helicopter service, health department etc. are working. How to bring the damage caused by the disaster back on track and overcoming this challenge is the priority. On the question of how he sees Doon as an education hub, the Chief Minister said that many local people come here to study in Dehradun and beyond. The inclination of youth towards the fields of civil, engineering, medical, army is increasing. The government is also giving scholarships to students for their further progress. On the question whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi ever joked with you, the Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister is a great philosopher. Until I met him, I thought that he would be strict. During the first meeting, I was hesitant about what he would talk about, what questions he would ask. I was preparing overnight like a student. But when I went in front of him, I forgot that I was sitting with him. He is the Vishwakarma of the country. Today, under his leadership, India is becoming the developed India of the world. The country’s self-confidence has increased. In the program, a listener asked that there is a lot of tension in politics, meanwhile who is your best. On this, the Chief Minister said that I do not feel stressed. Some days it is 2 o’clock in the night while working and I wake up at 5 in the morning. But sometimes some incidents like disaster or death definitely make me sad. My mother loves me a lot. She and the people of Uttarakhand have their full blessings on me. Wherever I go, I feel that I am a part of that family. If they are in pain, I am in pain too. With their support, I do not feel stressed. During this, the Chief Minister shared information about aspects related to his personal life. He said that I did a lot of transplantation in the 11-12 years. At that time, resources were less, so I used to go to plough the fields with my mother and sister. I used to work from 8 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon, then I would take an hour’s rest and then I would remain at work till sunset. Even today, many people say that you have practice in transplantation, so I tell them the same thing.

When I also used the pattala, my mother used to say that the bulls run away in it and will fall. I would like to say that farming should be tried, emphasis should be given on connecting farmers with innovation. I will go to see the paddy that I had planted a few days ago on the 31st again. I will also invite everyone after harvesting. On this occasion, Director General of Information and Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council Banshidhar Tiwari, Head (Programming and Creative) of Media Network of Oho Radio Prayank Chaturvedi etc. were present.
