This time the police department is fully prepared for the Char Dham Yatra. While policemen are being deployed at posts before the Yatra, more police force has been deployed compared to previous years. This time 30 posts of SDRF have been created. If information about an accident is received from anywhere on the Chardham Yatra route, the SDRF team will reach the spot maximum two hours before and start the rescue.
Rescue team reaches late in case of accident
According to SDRF Commandant Manikant Mishra, every year during the Char Dham Yatra, SDRF is deployed on the yatra routes. Many times, when an accident occurs in a remote area, the rescue team reaches late, due to which the injured do not get timely treatment. Taking cognizance of previous incidents, this time posts have been made at such places where accident prone areas fall. So that if information about the accident is received, the team can immediately reach for rescue. The team will have to reach the spot in maximum two hours.
