On the issue raised in the assembly regarding the conspiracy of the Gupta brothers to topple the government, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this has been spoken inside the House. He understands that it will be investigated. When asked if he thinks that any force can do this, the Chief Minister said that everyone has heard it inside the House. While talking to journalists at the Chief Minister’s office in Bhararisain, Gairsain on Friday, Chief Minister Dhami said that this supplementary budget has been passed to fulfill the general budget presented in March. He said that the government has focused on increasing revenue. There has been a significant increase in revenue in departments like excise, stamp and revenue etc. The state’s performance in the direction of development has also been better. The state being in the first place in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals issued by NITI Aayog is proof of this. The Chief Minister said that the government’s effort is to pay special attention to the effective implementation of centrally funded schemes. Attention is being paid to ensure that the people of the state get the benefit of the schemes whose state share is reduced. He said that by operating the guest houses of the state in a better manner, they are being made helpful in connecting them with the sources of income.
Something for everyone in the supplementary budget
The government is making efforts to ensure that the future generation of the state gets the benefit of better financial condition. Something or the other has been brought for everyone including scholarship for youth development, policy for sportspersons, livestock in the supplementary budget. On being asked about disaster, the Chief Minister said that whenever there was a disaster anywhere, the administration, SDRF and NDRF people reached the spot. He himself made efforts to reach the spot. He went to Kedarnath and Ghansali. The government and the administration are completely sensitive about disaster. The Chief Minister said that efforts are underway to have a long session in Gairsain and to have activities here throughout the year. After returning to Dehradun, a big meeting will be held for the summer capital.
