Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that air connectivity is being strengthened in the state with the help of the Central Government. Efforts are on to connect remote areas with heli service. Pithoragarh Airport will soon be operated by the Indian Air Force.
Dehradun is being connected by air service to almost all the cities of the country. He said that to attract investors in the state, an investors’ conference would be organized in October. In a program organized at a hotel on Rajpur Road on Saturday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that there are immense possibilities of tourism, industry and business in the state due to its natural beauty.
Foundation stone laid for Hemkund Sahib and Kedarnath Ropeway:
Tourism is the mainstay of the state’s economy, infrastructure facilities are being developed in this direction. The Chief Minister said that the work to make Kedarnath divine and grand is going on under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone of Hemkund Sahib and Kedarnath Ropeway. This will make traveling more convenient in the coming times.
He said that three lakh people have visited Kedarnath so far. This year the figure is expected to reach 20 lakh. He said that all possible steps are being taken for industrial development in the state. An investor conference will be organized in October to attract investors in tourism, agriculture, industry, health, education and service sectors.
Emphasis is also being laid on medical tourism in the state. He said that like Kedarkhand, work is going on on the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission scheme in the state. In this, the contact routes between Garhwal and Kumaon will be further strengthened. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj also addressed the program.
