Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the situation of disaster arising out of heavy rains in the state in a meeting at the secretariat on Tuesday. Reviewing the district-wise situation, the Chief Minister said that practicality should be kept in mind while giving compensation to the disaster affected people. Heli service should be made available to sick persons especially pregnant women in disaster affected areas.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to provide heli service to pregnant women in disaster affected areas. He said that the work of repairing the roads of the state should be started immediately after the rains. Smooth arrangements should be made to open the rural roads along with the highways. He has also given instructions for urgent repair of the roads of the capital Dehradun.

Along with opening the roads which are closed or damaged due to rains, focus should also be on alternative routes. The Chief Minister said that the DPR and tender process related to the repair of all the roads damaged during or before the monsoon should be started from now itself. Due to this, the repair work of the roads will start as soon as the rains end.
He said that timely compensation should be given to the disaster affected, along with officers should visit the disaster affected areas and become helpful to the affected. He also reviewed the water level of rivers, landslides, closed roads, loss of life and property, distribution of compensation with all the District Magistrates.
He said that along with opening of national and state highways, equipment should also be arranged at the affected places. Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Anand Baddhan, Secretary Lonivi Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey along with all the District Magistrates were connected through video conferencing in the meeting.
