The victory in the by-election of Kedarnath seat of Uttarakhand Assembly has not only infused new enthusiasm in the BJP, but also increased the political stature of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Chief Minister himself took charge of the election campaign for this seat, which became a question of prestige.

Chief Minister Dhami himself was leading the campaign
Chief Minister Dhami himself was leading the BJP’s campaign in the by-election. He participated in five public meetings and two bike rallies in the area. While the Chief Minister underlined the development works in the Kedarnath area, he also put forward the special affection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards Kedarnath Dham. After becoming the Prime Minister in the year 2014, he also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seven-time visit to Kedarnath in every speech.
The opposition also surrounded the Chief Minister during the campaign
Apart from the provincial team of the BJP, five ministers and many MLAs of the Dhami government were used well in the by-election. During the by-election campaign, the opposition also cornered the Chief Minister, but the results show that the opposition was not successful in its objective.
