Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the plans of land jihad in Uttarakhand will not be successful. He said that no attempt to spoil the nature of Devbhoomi will be allowed to succeed. The government is going to bring a strict law to attack land jihad. The encroachers of the government land have already been given an ultimatum to vacate the land on their own.
More than 300 illegal tombs have been removed:
In an informal conversation with the media, Chief Minister Dhami said that all possible steps will be taken to maintain the eternal form of Devbhoomi. He said that more than one thousand mausoleums built illegally on government land have been identified in the state, whose demolition is underway.
So far more than 300 illegal mausoleums have been removed, no human remains were found in them. It is clear that they were made for the purpose of occupying the land. The situation is such that tombs were built even in remote areas of hilly districts like Pauri, Uttarkashi, Tehri, which were demolished.
He said that how tombs were built in government premises including schools, why attention was not paid when they were built and in which period they were built, all these points are being investigated.
Possession of land along the banks of 23 rivers:
The Chief Minister said that a large number of forest and river lands are encroached on the banks of 23 rivers of the state. This has been confirmed in the survey conducted by drone. Now ready to remove them. Also, the occupants have been asked to vacate the land on their own.
Forest, PWD, Irrigation and Revenue Departments have also been told that action will be taken against the officer in whose area encroachments are found. Along with this, the government is going to bring such a strict law with a view to encroachment of government land, in which there will be a provision of punishment and heavy fine.
He also said that the government is keeping an eye on enemy properties. Wherever enemy property is occupied, the administration has issued notices to the occupants. Enemy property belongs to the Ministry of Home Affairs and is maintained by the state government.
