Now the land related registration in the registry offices in the state will be paperless. The Finance Department has made full preparations in this regard. Through this system, fraud in registration can be prevented. The proposal in this regard will be placed before the State Cabinet. This system will be implemented after the cabinet’s approval. Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that after the registration of documents under the Stamp and Registration Department in the state, there was a system of maintaining scanned copies in the office. Now it has been decided to technically upgrade the system of returning the original documents to the parties. He said that the government is considering making the entire system paperless for improvement in a phased manner. Under this, the process of paperless registration, Aadhaar authentication, virtual registration will be implemented. In this regard, the government has to take a decision on making a proposal for Uttarakhand Online Document Registration Rules, 2025.
Stamp duty and registration fee will be deposited online
He said that even after the implementation of this system, for registration of deeds, the party will be able to prepare the documents from his own place and submit them through online link. Apart from this, stamp duty and registration fee can also be paid online. The parties will also have the facility that the sub-registrar will be able to verify the documents by appearing in the offices himself or through video KYC.
There will also be interlink with Aadhaar authentication
He said that after this, the concerned sub-registrar will also complete the process through digital signature after testing the facts mentioned in the deeds and will also send it to the party immediately through WhatsApp and email.
He said that the said process will also be interlinked with Aadhaar authentication, so that along with public convenience, transparency can be promoted and corruption can be curbed. With the implementation of this system, the fraud happening in the registry process can also be stopped.
