The meeting of Dhami cabinet was held in the secretariat on Wednesday. During this, the cabinet took 16 important decisions. Now the law on forced conversion in Uttarakhand has become strict. The Religious Freedom Act has been amended. Now strict laws like Gangster will be implemented and there will be punishment up to 14 years.
Apart from this, decisions were also taken on topics related to urban development, transport, education in the meeting
Important decisions of the cabinet
1- The Forest Department in Uttarakhand will now demarcate the boundaries of forest areas afresh. Committees will be formed at the state, district and tehsil level.
2- The law on forced conversion in Uttarakhand has become strict, the Religious Freedom Act has been amended. Now strict laws like Gangster will be implemented, there will be punishment up to 14 years.
3- Agniveers will get 10 percent horizontal reservation on uniformed posts in Uttarakhand.
4- Agreement on expansion of Pantnagar Airport, state will give 22 crores to NHAI, government will also pay for royalty.
5- Way cleared for recruitment through outsourcing on regular posts, approval to Health and Medical Education Department, committee formed under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary for the rest.
6- Amendment in Rural Development Service Manual.
7- Approval to Panchayati Raj Act Amendment.
8- Approval to PIU in Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation.
9- Five percent plots and sheds will be reserved in mini industrial establishments for service sector in MSME.
10- In Lakhwar Hydroelectric Project, the value of land of Lakhwar Dam affected people will be decided on the basis of Tehri district.
11- Uttarakhand Science and Technology Policy approved.
12- Approval to Municipal Body Single Member Commission.
13-Approval to amendment in service manual of Rural Development Department.
14- Approval to revive Uttarakhand Cooperative Institutional Service Board under Uttarakhand Cooperative Society Act
15- Approval to provide GST and royalty along with expansion of Pantnagar Airport
16- Approval to Science and Technology Innovation Policy.
