
As the date of commencement of Chardham Yatra is approaching, the figure of pilgrims registering for the yatra is also increasing. So far, more than two lakh pilgrims have registered online for darshan in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham.
When will the doors of Chardham open this year?
The doors of Kedarnath on 25 April and Badrinath Dham on April 27 are to be opened. The opening of the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham has not been duly announced, but according to tradition, the doors of both Dham will be opened on the Akshaya Tritiya festival on April 22.
Online registration was opened from 21 February:
The government had opened online registration from 21 February for Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. On the very first day, more than 31 thousand pilgrims registered online and in five days the figure crossed the number one lakh.
Registration has been done by two lakh three thousand 623 pilgrims:
By Sunday evening, two lakh three thousand 623 pilgrims had registered for both Dham. Of these, 91 thousand 583 registered for Badrinath and one lakh 12 thousand 40 for Kedarnath Dham.
Right now registration opened for Badri-Kedar
Deputy Director of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council YK Gangwar said that registrations have been opened only for Badri-Kedar. On online registration will also be opened for these dhams after the date of opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham is duly declared.
