
The accident took place near Peerumadara at around 1.20 am on October 2. Yatish Yadav, a resident of Ghaziabad, was travelling with his wife Sheetal from Kashipur to Nainital when their vehicle collided with dumper HR38AC 4554 coming from the opposite direction.
The impact badly damaged the Scorpio and Yatish died at the spot. Police took Sheetal, who was seriously injured, to Ramnagar Joint Hospital. After initial treatment, she was referred to Delhi-NCR for further treatment.
Yatish was a teacher at a private school
atish was a resident of Shahpur Bametha in Ghaziabad. Besides being a national-level basketball player, he worked as a teacher at a private school.
His wife Sheetal is a doctor.
Father alleges dumper driver was overtaking
After receiving information about the accident, Yatish’s family reached Ramnagar Joint Hospital, where his post-mortem was being conducted.
Yatish’s father, Suresh Yadav, alleged that the dumper driver was overtaking at high speed when the vehicle entered the wrong lane and collided with his son’s Scorpio.
He has demanded a fair investigation and action against those responsible.
Couple had married four months ago
Yatish and Sheetal had married only four months ago. The couple had left for Nainital for a trip when the accident occurred in Ramnagar.
The journey, which had begun as a holiday for the newly married couple, ended with Yatish’s death and left his family in grief.
