Uttarakhand all set to host the event:
Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that Uttarakhand is fully prepared to host the event. It is also proposed to organize racing skiing approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS) in the National Winter Games.
Players from both men’s and women’s categories will participate:
The National Skiing Championship-2023 will have four events. Players from both men’s and women’s categories will participate. Apart from this, FIS approved Giant Salaam Race for men and women will also be organized on 7th and 8th February under Himalayan Trophy 2023.
Auli has met all the standards and norms:
Told that FIS approves any center only if it matches international norms and standards. Auli has lived up to all these standards and norms.
A master plan for Auli has also been prepared by the tourism department, which has been sent for cabinet approval. Apart from this, a 3.5 kilometer racing slope is also proposed to be constructed at Auli.
Anya Sajwan won double title in Table Tennis:
Anya Sajwan won the title of Under-15 and Under-17 age group in Table Tennis in a sports competition organized by District Sports Office Dehradun on the occasion of State Foundation Day. On Tuesday, the District Sports Office, Dehradun, started the boys and girls district level badminton and table tennis competition in the multipurpose sports hall.
It was inaugurated by in-charge District Sports Officer Shabali Gurung by lighting the lamp. In the table tennis competition of girls category, in the under-11 age group, Savi won the title by defeating Manasvi Goyal 3-0. Under-15 age group title match was played between Anya Sajwan and Amidha. In which Anya Sajwan won 3-0. While the title of Under-17 age group also went to Anya Sajwan.
Anya defeated Amidha 3-0. During this, Deputy Sports Officer Deepak Rawat, Ravindra Bhandari, Assistant Instructor Amit Kataria, Girish Mawal, Tete Instructor Sunita Chimwal and Anjali Agarwal were present along with others.
