The facility of passenger boarding bridge started at Dehradun airport from Thursday, which will benefit the passengers immensely. On February 14, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Terminal Phase 2 of Dehradun Airport at a cost of Rs 486 crore. In which it was said to provide the facility of four passenger boarding bridges in this terminal building. Out of which, after getting the approval of DGCA, two bridges started operating from Thursday.
After getting the facility of other two bridges soon, they are also likely to be started. Passenger boarding bridge which is also known as Aero Bridge. After its operation, thousands of passengers coming and going from the airport will get direct benefit from it. Also, with the commencement of this facility, the facilities of the airport have also increased.
Passengers took advantage
On Thursday, the first passengers to take advantage of this boarding bridge were those of Indigo Airlines going to Ahmedabad, which took off from Dehradun airport at 8 am. After this, passengers will be able to take advantage of the boarding bridge in all the big planes coming to and going from the airport. Passengers will get the same facility for small planes as before. Dehradun Airport Deputy General Manager Nitin Kadyan said that after the start of the passenger boarding bridge, Dehradun airport is moving towards modernity. After the operation of this bridge, passengers will get a comfortable and seamless experience. Also, instead of facing the weather and walking on the tarmac, passengers can board the plane directly from the terminal building through the bridge.
This eliminates the need for stairs or ramps and the boarding process also becomes convenient and hassle-free. He said that this boarding bridge has been designed to make travel accessible for all passengers. So that it can be ensured that everyone boards and disembarks comfortably and safely.
