Amidst the continuous complaints regarding crowd management during Chardham Yatra, the Center has now started monitoring. The Union Home Ministry has sought daily reports of the Chardham Yatra. NDRF and ITBP will help in crowd management. The ministry has also given instructions to form a committee to formulate a strategy for travel management in the future. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi gave updated information about the Chardham Yatra in the state to Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla in a virtual meeting on Thursday. The Union Home Secretary instructed the Chief Secretary to send daily reports of pilgrims in Dhams, Yatra routes and halting places to the Home Ministry. He has also given instructions to take help of NDRF and ITBP for crowd management on the yatra route, if needed. Along with this, instructions have been given to form a committee for the strategy of Chardham Yatra management in future. He has also laid special emphasis on strict monitoring of travel management at the ground level. The Chief Secretary told the Home Secretary that the Chardham Yatra is being conducted successfully, safely, smoothly and smoothly in the state.

Told, to maintain order, offline registration of Chardham Yatra has been banned till 31st May. The Union Home Secretary assured all possible help and cooperation from the Center for the successful conduct of Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. 24 hour call center
Regarding travel management, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said, a 24-hour call center is being run by the Tourism Department. Registered devotees are being checked at Barkot (Yamunotri), Heena (Gangotri), Sonprayag (Kedarnath) and Pandukeshwar (Badrinath). Tokens are being issued to registered devotees for darshan of Dhams at Jankichatti (Yamunotri), Gangotri Temple (Gangotri), Swargarohini (Kedarnath), ISBT, BRO and Mana (Badrinath). Arrangements have been made for darshan of the Dhams by stamping the tokens of the devotees standing in the queue in the temple premises.
Online registration complete till June
Online registrations for Chardham Yatra, which started in June, have been completed. Registrations are becoming available for travel between July and November. Due to increase in crowd in Charodham beyond capacity, the state government has banned offline registration till May 31. When the situation becomes normal in Dhams, offline registrations can open from June 1. The registration figure for Chardham Yatra has crossed 31.55 lakh. 9.61 lakh pilgrims have visited it. Chardham Yatra started from 10th May. On the very first day, there was a huge crowd of pilgrims to visit Kedarnath, Gangotri Yamunotri Dham, due to which the arrangements also got derailed.
Operator of travel agency doing fake registration arrested
Kotwali police has arrested Ankush, the operator of a travel agency who did fake registration of Chardham Yatra, from Haridwar. The accused had provided online fake registrations of two Dhams to a 30-member team from Maharashtra. The aggrieved passengers had filed a case against him in the police station. During checking of vehicles on May 22, online registrations of a 30-member passenger group from Maharashtra were found to be fake. The dates in the online registration of passengers were changed by creating a code. On enquiry, the passengers told that they had registered with Haridwar-based Konark Travels to visit the two Dhams from May 21 to 30.
Lokpal Laxman Temple doors opened on Buddha Purnima
The doors of Lokpal Laxman Temple located in Hemkund Sahib were opened with rituals on Thursday on the occasion of Buddha Purnima festival. Usually, along with Hemkund Sahib, the doors of Lokpal Laxman Temple also open. Temple priests Kushal Singh and Manish Pandey performed puja and offered food. Situated at an altitude of 15 thousand feet, the temple is situated near the lake of Hemkund Sahib.
