Bright sunshine is shining amidst the dry season in Uttarakhand, due to which the maximum temperature is increasing rapidly. Friday was the least cold day so far this year in most of the plains including Doon. However, the minimum temperature remains normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather pattern in the state may change from this evening. Orange alert has been issued regarding heavy snowfall on the peaks on Sunday and Monday. Light rain is also expected in low-lying areas. There was bright sunshine throughout the day in Dehradun on Friday. Due to dry weather in most areas, cold has disappeared during the day and the temperature has reached three to four degrees Celsius above normal. At the same time, in most areas including Doon, Friday was the least cold day of this year so far. The temperature reached 26 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees Celsius above normal.

However, the weather may change in the next few days. However, the weather may remain dry in the plains. According to Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center, western disturbance may become active in the state from this evening. Orange alert has been issued regarding heavy snowfall in areas at altitude above 2800 meters in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar on Sunday and Monday. There are chances of light rain and snowfall in the surrounding areas. Due to which the temperature may also drop.
