
75 educational institutions from across the country were selected for the program to celebrate the success of the G20 University Connect program and chart the way forward, out of which only Doon University from the state of Uttarakhand was given the opportunity to represent. Doon University did this very well and under which many programs were organized in the university since December last year. Now, to celebrate the success of University Connect, Doon University has received a special invitation for the G20 University Connect Celebrating Success and Way Forward program to be organized in the country’s capital Delhi.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with students at the Mandapam auditorium in New Delhi. Faculty and 20 students of Doon University are participating in this program.
There is enthusiasm among the students
Vice Chancellor of Doon University, Prof. Before leaving for Delhi on Monday, Surekha Dangwal told here that it is a matter of pride for India to get the presidency of G20. Involvement of educational institutions in this program has generated enthusiasm among the students. These programs have increased awareness among students. With a new identity at the global level, emerging India’s presence has become unprecedentedly strong. From December 1, 2022, the university conducted three mega events along with many other programs to increase awareness among the students. It is a matter of pride for Doon University as well as the entire Uttarakhand that in this University Connect program, lakhs of students from universities across the country will connect with each other online while the teachers and students of Doon University will connect with IIT, IIM, NIT and medical colleges. Just like the reputed institutions, they will go to Delhi and register their presence. Professor Dangwal said that through this program India has established a new positive, self-reliant and influential image of India at the global level. Also, youth have been organized through this program at the national level because youth power is going to play an important role in making India a developed country.
In the dialogue program with the Prime Minister, Professor, Chairman of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University. RP Mamgain, Dean Student Welfare Prof. HC Purohit, Prof. Reena Singh, Prof. Pallavi Upreti, Sachin Panwar, Abhishek Badola etc. will be present.
