Strict land law has come into existence in the state. In the new law, violation of rules in the purchase and sale of land will be monitored. For this, a land portal is also being prepared. Now rules are being made for the implementation of the new law.
In this, rules will be fixed keeping in mind the online monitoring system to be done through the portal. The rules will be placed in the cabinet for approval. After the implementation of strict land law in the state, the land bought or sold illegally and in violation of rules is being vested in the government.
Along with purchase and sale, comprehensive information about all the land related arrangements including mutation will be available on the land portal. The portal is being made with the help of NIC. It will be operated by the Revenue Council. All the Patwari-Lekhpal areas of the state will be under its purview. Online details of purchase and sale of land in these areas will be regularly updated on the portal. The rules being made for the implementation of the new land law will also include the rules related to the online monitoring system created through the portal. Along with this, there will be a time-bound process for granting permission for land purchase from the District Magistrate and the government level. The District Magistrate will take a report from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate every month. Every quarter its report will be sent to the Revenue Council.
