Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun has formed an SIT regarding the cases of fake registration coming up during the Chardham Yatra. Now the SIT team will investigate all these cases. This time online registration has been made mandatory in the Chardham Yatra. From the beginning of the Yatra till now, many such cases have come to light, in which pilgrims from different states were registered by the travel agents and sent on the Yatra.

Many such registrations were found to be fake in the police investigation. Many cases have been registered against them in Rishikesh Vikas Nagar and Haridwar so far. Many travel agents have also been arrested. Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh has formed an SIT under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police Rural Lokjit Singh to investigate the cases of fake registration. In which Police Area Officer Rishikesh Sandeep Negi, Cyber Cell Sub Inspector Ravindra Negi, SOG Rural Incharge Sub Inspector Aditya Saini will be members. While female sub-inspector Shalu Dhariwal, female sub-inspector Shilpa Saini and female sub-inspector Himani Chaudhary have been made investigators. The investigation of all these cases will be handed over to the investigators under the guidance of Superintendent of Police (Rural).
