The series of heavy rains in Doon has slowed down for the last two days. However, heavy rains are continuing and heavy rain is also falling at some places. While the humid heat made people miserable due to sunshine all day in Doon, the mercury dropped due to heavy rain in the evening. On Saturday also, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain at some places in Doon. There is relief from heavy rain in Uttarakhand for the time being. Partial clouds are definitely hovering from the mountain to the plain, but the sun has also started shining at some places. Along with this, the mercury has also increased.
The maximum temperature in most of the plains including Dehradun has crossed 33 degrees Celsius, due to which humid heat is being felt, however, the mercury dropped due to heavy rain in the evening and the weather became pleasant at night. Heavy rain occurred in most areas of Doon for about half an hour in the evening. Due to which there was relief from the heat.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning and heavy rains in Dehradun, Bageshwar and Nainital on Saturday. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this. Heavy showers with thunder and lightning may occur in the remaining districts as well. Partial clouds are expected in most parts of the state. The Meteorological Center has confirmed the weakening of monsoon activity in the state. However, the showers may continue for the time being.
