
The Chief Minister directed that for better functioning of the Secretariat, training should be imparted compulsorily to the section officers once in a year. If the section officers want to take any other training for better execution of the works, then arrangements should also be made for that.
Mirror of Secretariat Region:
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed with the section officers regarding Suraj, good governance, simplification and solution at the secretariat. The Chief Minister said that the secretariat is the mirror of the state. It is from here that the policy of the condition, direction and system of the state is determined.
Efforts should be made to work with new work culture in the Secretariat. All possible assistance will be given to the sections for the successful conduct of the works. Section officers should also be sent to the Head of the Department’s office to get better information about the works related to the departments assigned to them. It should be ensured that there is good arrangement of toilets along with cleanliness in the secretariat premises.
Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu said that field visits would also be made to the section officers from time to time. He instructed the section officers to first dispose of the files of important nature from the point of view of public interest.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that before sending any correspondence to the consultation departments, it should be ensured that the consultation point is clearly mentioned in its noting. Special attention is being paid to the e-office system. For the meetings, now information will be given to the officers through e-file, e-mail and WhatsApp.
During this, the section officers suggested that the officer in whose file noting the talks are written, the same officer should go to the talks even at the higher level. The tendency of sending others in your place should end. He also suggested to ensure timeliness in files for quick disposal.
Mussoorie’s drinking water scheme should be completed ahead of time: Chief Secretary:
On the other hand, Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu gave instructions to complete the drinking water scheme of Mussoorie area before the stipulated time. Chief Secretary Dr. Sandhu took a review meeting regarding the Mussoorie Restructuring Water Supply Scheme at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
He said that the residents of Mussoorie region have to face the problem of drinking water in summer. He said that before March, 2023 this scheme should be completed in any case. He also instructed to use the night time to complete the work on time. He said that arrangements for road closure should be made at night after contacting the District Magistrate. He asked to set a weekly target for each task.
The Chief Secretary said that there would be no shortage of funds to complete the work on time. There is a need to work on a war footing to ensure drinking water supply before summer. He asked to send the weekly report of the progress of the works to the Chief Secretary’s office. Additional Secretary Drinking Water Udayraj Singh and other officers were present on the occasion.
