
There is a lot of enthusiasm among Indian devotees as well as foreign devotees to join the Chardham Yatra. So far 10,796 foreign devotees have registered to join the Yatra. In which the maximum 3,674 foreign devotees have registered for Kedarnath. There were 3,045 registrations for Badrinath. While 1,918 foreign devotees registered for Yamunotri and 2,105 foreign devotees registered for Gangotri. At the same time, 54 foreign devotees registered for Hemkund Sahib. In the Chardham Yatra starting from April 30 in the state, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDB) started online Aadhaar based registration on March 20 for the convenience and safety of the devotees. So that the devotees get the benefit of darshan on their registered date without any inconvenience. The Tourism Department has started registration linked to Aadhaar card for the first time this year. So that the passengers can be monitored and maximum facilities can be provided to them. At the same time, registration of foreign devotees is being done through passport. UTDB Joint Director and Chardham Yatra Nodal Officer Yogendra Gangwar said that along with the devotees of India, foreign devotees are also registering in large numbers to participate in the Yatra. In the coming days, the number of registrations will increase even more.
The doors will open from April 30
The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on April 30. While the Yatra will start in full form with the opening of the doors of Kedarnath on May 2 and Badrinath Dham on May 4. Finally, the doors of Hemkund Sahib will open on May 25. Due to the highest number of devotees of Kedarnath, there will be an increase in the crowd of devotees coming to the state from May 2.
Most of the registrations are being done through web portal
Till now 11,61,557 registrations have been done for the Chardham Yatra through the web portal (registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in). Whereas 47,005 devotees have registered through the mobile app (Tourist care Uttarakhand). At the same time, 15,128 private vehicles and four commercial vehicles were registered for the Yatra.
Solution of nine thousand devotees through toll free number
UTDB has issued a toll free number (0135-1364) for registration and travel related problems and queries in the Chardham Yatra. Through which the problems of the devotees are being resolved 24 hours a day. At the same time, till now 9,326 devotees have got their problems resolved by calling the toll free number.
