This time Jashn-e-Azadi will be celebrated as a big festival on the completion of 75 years of the country’s independence. In this series, on the occasion of ‘August Revolution’ under the Amrit Festival of Independence, ‘Tiranga Yatra’ will be taken out in schools, colleges and universities across the state on 9th August, which will be organized under the aegis of Education Department. Thousands of students from various schools and colleges will participate in the tricolor yatra organized in the capital Dehradun, in which the participation of Scott Guide, NSS and NCC cadets will be prominent. The Chief Minister of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami will start the tricolor yatra, in which other ministers, MLAs and public representatives will also participate.
Giving this information to the media, Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that Independence Day is being celebrated as a big festival across the country to mark the completion of 75 years of the country’s independence. With the aim of making this nectar festival of independence memorable and to inculcate national feeling in every citizen, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been started. In this episode, ‘Tiranga Yatra’ will be taken out in schools, colleges and universities across the state on 9th August to commemorate ‘August Revolution’. He said that the state Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami would inaugurate the tricolor yatra organized in Dehradun. Dr. Rawat informed that this yatra will be organized under the aegis of the School Education Department. He said that thousands of students from various nearby educational institutions would participate in the Tricolor Yatra organized in Dehradun, in which the participation of Scott Guide, NSS and NCC cadets would be prominent.
Instructions have been given to the officials of the Higher Education and School Education Department for the preparations for the tricolor yatra. Higher Education Minister Dr. Rawat informed that the tricolor yatra will be taken out at 8 in the morning from Parade Ground via Rajpur Road to Bahl Chowk, from where it will reach Parade Ground via Subhash Road. Ministers, MLAs and public representatives will also participate in the Tiranga Yatra. It may be mentioned that during the independence movement, August Kranti movement was started from Mumbai on 9th August 1942 on the call of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. In fact, despite taking the support of Indians in World War II, when the British were not ready to liberate India, Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, declared the last war of independence in the form of Quit India Movement, which caused panic in the British rule. This movement opened the way for the country’s independence and India became independent on 15 August 1947.
