Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed that the toppers of high school and intermediate in each district should be given the role of DM and SP symbolically for one day. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also given instructions to organize river festivals on the major rivers of the state in view of environmental protection. In this episode, the government has now started working hard. Chief Minister Dhami said that the purpose behind giving the role of DM and SP to meritorious students for one day in the districts is to give administrative experience, instill confidence and motivate towards higher goals. This scheme will be implemented in all the districts soon. A detailed action plan is being prepared for this. He said that with the aim of giving the campaign of cleaning, cleanliness, revival and conservation of rivers the form of a public campaign, river festivals will be organized in the name of major rivers. Extensive public participation will be ensured in these. He said that rivers are not only water sources, but are also a part of our culture and lifestyle. Through the river festival, the general public will also be made aware of water conservation and cleanliness.
