The troubles of Harak Singh Rawat, who was the Forest Minister in the BJP’s Trivendra government, seem to be increasing again in the case of illegal cutting of trees and construction in the Pakharo range of Corbett Tiger Reserve. In the case, on August 14, the CBI summoned Harak Singh Rawat to its office in Indira Nagar, Dehradun and questioned him. Now the Dehradun branch of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a notice to Harak Singh Rawat and asked him to appear on Monday. In the Corbett Safari case, the CBI registered a case in October 2023, while the ED entered in December 2023. In February 2024, the ED has also raided the hideouts of former minister Harak Singh Rawat, his close associates and many forest officials.
