Uttarakhand Unemployed Union marched to the Secretariat on Monday with 16-point demands. Amidst the rain, unemployed youth from across the state came out of Gandhi Park for the Secretariat, but the police stopped them by placing barricades in front of the Secretariat. Due to which there was a fierce scuffle between the police and the protesters. The protesting youth sat on strike there. Later they sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister regarding their demands. Let us tell you that the members of the unemployed union have been sitting on strike in Ekta Vihar for the last 228 days demanding a CBI investigation into the rigging in competitive examinations.
President of Uttarakhand Unemployed Association, Bobby Panwar said that the Chief Minister is promising to provide employment to the youth, whereas the truth is that many recruitments are hanging in the balance for years. Even in the examinations that were held, complete appointments have not been made. Immediate action should be taken on all the demands otherwise there will be violent agitation.
Vice President Ram Kandwal said that the youth of the state have been preparing for various examinations for a long time. Waiting for advertisements and examinations. The officials sitting in the secretariat have also been met several times, but apart from assurances, nothing has been received. During this, state co-coordinator of Uttarakhand Unemployed Association Sushil Kaintura, secretary Nitin Dutt, state spokesperson Suresh Singh, executive members Bittu Verma, Vishal Chauhan, Akhil Tomar, Jaspal Chauhan and Yuvraj Singh were present.
These demands of the unemployed union
Waiting list for police constable recruitment, junior assistant recruitment examination and police telecommunication examination should be released.
– Release of recruitment notification for Police Sub Inspector, Assistant Teacher, Lecturer, APS, Assembly Recruitment, Police Constable Recruitment and PCS etc.
– Results of workshop instructor, vehicle driver, assistant accountant, graduate level examination and stenographer examinations should be released.
– Immediate appointments should be given in the recruitment of Forest Inspector, Patwari, Forest Guard 2018, Assistant Teacher (PH) etc.
– The rule of issuing waiting list should be implemented by applying Rule 16 (4) of the Union Public Service Commission in all the recruitments conducted by UKSSSC and UKPSC.
– The age limit should be increased immediately in the upcoming police constable and police inspector recruitment.
– Unbiased investigation of Uttarakhand Women Home Guard Recruitment.
– There should be a CBI inquiry into all the recruitment examinations that were rigged.
Covid-19 employees should be appointed immediately.
