UPNL workers posted in various departments in the state will no longer be fired. If sources are to be believed, during the formal discussion regarding the regularization of UPNL workers in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the cabinet appeared unanimous on this matter. During this, it was told that rules are being made to regularize UPNL workers. After preparing the draft of the rules, it will be placed before the cabinet. In the sequence of decisions of the High Court, the state government has to regularize the UPNL workers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also announced this. However, it is not easy to regularize UPNL workers. The reason is that in most of the departments, UPNL workers have been deployed in relation to regular posts. In such a situation, if they are to be regularized, then the rule of reservation on direct recruitment posts will have to be implemented in it. Along with this, there are many posts in which recruitment is done through the Public Service Commission. Obviously, the rules will also have to be changed to fill these posts. This is also the reason why the government has decided to make rules for the regularization of Upanal employees. For this, a seven-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu. This committee includes Principal Secretary Justice Prashant Joshi, Secretary Personnel Shailesh Bagauli, Secretary Finance Dilip Jawalkar, Secretary Sainik Welfare Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary, Secretary Sridhar Babu Addanki and Managing Director of Upanal. This committee will prepare a draft of the rules after studying all the legal points in detail, which will be brought before the cabinet for approval.
At the same time, a formal discussion was also held in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday regarding the regularization of Upanal employees. It was said in this that when the government is taking steps towards regularizing Upanal employees, then Upanal employees posted in various departments should not be removed.
