Uttarakhand has received the Best State Award for Best State Promoting Investment in Millet Sector in the International Nutri Cereal Convention held in Hyderabad. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for this. Also congratulated all the departmental officers. The Agriculture Minister said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this year has been declared International Millet Year.
Continuous efforts are being made by the state government for the promotion of coarse grains as well as its marketing. He said that in this program organized in Hyderabad, the Agriculture Department also signed an agreement with Nutri Hub, IIMR. Under this, IIMR will provide technical support in building Srianna Park, organizing joint workshops to promote millet and support in start ups etc.
