No leniency will be tolerated in the permanentization of government servants of the state. Due to non-permanentization, employees have to face difficulties in service combination, salary protection, pension benefits. Along with this, there is a possibility of increase in litigation in the courts. The government has expressed displeasure over this. Secretary Personnel Shailesh Bagauli has written a letter to all the departments and directed to ensure proper compliance of the permanentization rules in cases of permanentization of government services. Any personnel in government departments is kept on a probation period of one or two years after promotion. During this period, after assessing the work, efficiency, conduct and behavior of the promoted personnel, permanentization is done on the post. Only after this, the concerned personnel becomes eligible for all the benefits relative to that post. It was observed that in many departments, even after completion of the prescribed probation period of the service period of the employees and getting promoted to higher posts in the department, formal orders are not issued regarding permanentization. This causes problems to the employees.
In view of this, the Personnel Secretary has directed all the department heads, office heads, divisional commissioners and district magistrates that all departments should issue orders for regularisation of the employees who have completed their probation period.
