Haryana Roadways driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjit Singh, who saved Rishabh’s life, will be honored by the Uttarakhand Police. Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said that the first one hour after the accident is the golden hour.
If the injured gets proper treatment during that time, then the risk of life is reduced. Since, the roadways driver and operator helped the seriously injured Rishabh by taking immediate steps after the accident, the police will honor them under the Good Samaritan scheme.
Improvement in Rishabh Pant’s health:
There has been some improvement in the health of Rishabh Pant, the wicket-keeper batsman of the Indian cricket team who was seriously injured in a road accident. Plastic surgery of his forehead was done on Saturday at Max Hospital in Dehradun. Due to non-reduction of pain and swelling, MRI of his knee and ankle could not be done on the second day also. Right now he is kept in ICU.
A team of four specialist doctors is treating him. The MRI report of his brain and spine done on Friday has come back normal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked to Rishabh as well as his mother Saroj Pant on the phone on Saturday and inquired about his health.
Along with encouraging his relatives, the Prime Minister wished Pant a speedy recovery. On Saturday, along with film actors Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sundar Sharma reached Max Hospital to inquire about Pant’s condition.
On the other hand, the National Highways Development Authority (NHAI) and the Transport Department have started an investigation into the cause of the cricketer’s car accident. Cricketer Rishabh Pant’s car met with an accident at Roorkee’s Narsan border on Friday morning, after which Rishabh was brought to Max Hospital in Dehradun.
