No temple will be built in the name of Shri Kedarnath Dham in Burari, Delhi. Recently, all the religious people of Uttarakhand had expressed their opposition on this issue. It is believed that for this reason Shri Kedarnath Dham Delhi Trust has decided not to build it. Sensing the public sentiments, the Dhami government of the state has also taken a decision through the cabinet to make a strict law to stop the misuse of the names of the Dhams.
There was heavy protest in Uttarakhand from the very next day
Recently, Shri Kedarnath Dham Delhi Trust had decided to build a temple on the lines of Shri Kedarnath Dham in Delhi. For this, the foundation stone of the temple works was also laid. However, from the very next day, heavy protest was seen in Uttarakhand in this matter. The Panda-Priests of the four Dhams expressed strong objection to how any other temple can be built anywhere in the name of Kedarnath Dham. The state government had to intervene in the matter.
There is only one Kedarnath Dham in the country and will remain so. Agreeing with the sentiments of all the religious people, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of the state decided through the cabinet that the state government will soon make a law so that no one can misuse the Dhams of Uttarakhand in future. The Chief Minister himself said that there is only one Kedarnath Dham in the country and will remain so. Now Suman Mittal, President of Shri Kedarnath Dham Delhi Trust, informed that earlier all the trustees together were going to start the construction work of the temple at Bakhtawarpur Road Hiranki in Burari, but after the objection, the idea of building Kedarnath Dham temple in Delhi has been abandoned. Now it has been decided not to build any temple by this name. For this, the process of taking donations through online QR code has also been stopped.
