
Now soon while issuing permits in the state, it will be decided which model vehicles will be operated on which permit. For this, the committee formed at the transport headquarters level has submitted its report. Now after studying this report, preparations are being made to present this topic in the meeting of the State Transport Authority. The time limit for operating commercial vehicles in the state has been fixed. As per the instructions of the Centre, commercial vehicles older than 15 years have been declared scrap. New vehicles are also being released in the latest Bharat series. These vehicles can go to Delhi and other states.
Committee submitted report
At present, many commercial vehicles of old models are running in Uttarakhand, whose life span has not yet completed 15 years. A committee was formed at the Transport Headquarters level to decide on the routes on which such vehicles would be suitable. After studying it, this committee has submitted its report to the headquarters. Now after studying this report the headquarters will decide what further steps are to be taken on this.
Important decision will be taken in the meeting
The meeting of State Transport Authority is proposed soon. In this meeting, the issue of increasing the wheel base of buses on mountain routes, clarifying the situation regarding fare of vehicles used on election duty and granting permits is to be considered. In such a situation, the issue regarding deciding the model in the permit can also be brought up in this meeting. Secretary STA and Joint Transport Commissioner SK Singh say that the date for the meeting will be decided soon.
