
The administration is taking action against illegal madrasas in Uttarakhand. So far, 10 madrasas and one mosque have been sealed. Muslim organizations are angry with this action taken by the administration in Vikasnagar and Doiwala.
Panic among those running madrasas
Vikasnagar: On March 3, under the leadership of SDM Vinod Kumar, a team of police and administration sealed five madrasas being run without registration and against the rules. This action of the administration created a state of panic among those running illegal madrasas. After this second action of the administration, the number of sealed madrasas has increased to nine. Also, one mosque has been sealed. Orders have been issued by higher officials to take effective action against illegal madrasas. The joint team of local administration, police, Minority Commission, Madrasa Board and Sub-District Magistrate Vikasnagar physically verified the madrasas under Kotwali Vikasnagar area. Five madrasas being run against the rules and without registration in Vikasnagar area were sealed. According to Deputy District Magistrate Vinod Kumar, action was taken to seal Madrasa Rahimiya Mahidul Quran, Madrasa Islamia Noor Al Huda, Madrasa Inam Ul Uloom, Isaat Alnat, Madrasa Islamia Arbina Qasim Ul Uloom in the action taken on March 3. The map of Madrasa Inam Ul Uloom built on non-residential land was passed as residential. The map of four of the remaining madrasas built on private land was not passed. All five madrasas did not get recognition from the Madrasa Board. Four madrasas were found to be running in buildings and one madrasa Isaat Alnat in a tin shed.
Unregistered madrasa running in Niyamwala sealed
Doiwala: The administration took action against madrasas running without registration. On March 1, the team of tehsil administration reached Niyamwala of the city with police force and minority department team. Where the team sealed the madrasa being run without registration. On this occasion, the people running the madrasa appealed to the administration not to seal the madrasa. But their pleas did not work before the administration.
Unregistered madrasa running in Niyamwala sealed
Doiwala: The administration took action against madrasas running without registration. On March 1, the team of tehsil administration reached Niyamwala of the city with police force and minority department team. Where the team sealed the madrasa being run without registration. On this occasion, the people running the madrasa appealed to the administration not to seal the madrasa. But their pleas did not work before the administration. It is being told that about 25 to 30 children used to study in this madrasa. After the instructions of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, this action was taken under the leadership of Tehsildar Sohan Singh Rangad. Tehsildar Sohan Singh Rangad said that information was received about 6 unregistered madrasas running under Doiwala tehsil. After investigation, action has been initiated against them. Following the District Magistrate’s instructions, the unregistered madrasa operating in Niyamwala has been sealed. He also said that two of the other five madrasas have applied for registration. Due to this, no action has been taken against them yet. The other three madrasas are being operated along with the mosque. Due to which action against them is still pending. During the action, apart from the senior sub-inspector of the police station Shishupal Rana, all the police force, revenue and minority department team officials were present.
