
The government has taken the matter of death of 13 tigers in Uttarakhand very seriously in the last five months. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in an informal conversation with the media on Tuesday that the matter is being investigated. If negligence is found at any level in the investigation, action will be taken against the culprits.
It is not hidden from anyone that Uttarakhand is playing an important role in the conservation of the national animal tiger. According to the census of the year 2018, the number of tigers here is 442. Corbett Tiger Reserve is the main home of tigers. In the changed conditions, tigers have made new habitats, which shows that there is a better habitat for tigers here.

In view of all this, the government is probing the death of tigers thoroughly. The government is also worried about the death of tigers. CM Dhami himself has kept an eye on this matter. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the entire matter is being investigated, tests are being conducted. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
181 tiger deaths from 2001 to 2023:
Significantly, according to the census of 2018, the number of tigers in the state was 442, this year the first case of death of tigers came in Corbett Tiger Reserve in January. A total of 181 tigers have died in the state from 2001 to 2023, including cases of poaching, accidents, forest fires, inter-conflicts, entrapment, etc. Now in view of these frequent deaths, the government is taking this matter seriously.
