Three meetings of this committee have been held so far. Apart from amending the existing law, this committee is also studying matters related to marriage, divorce, property rights and succession. The committee is taking steps to examine inheritance, adoption, maintenance and uniform civil code as well as to prepare an action plan for its implementation.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami told the media on Tuesday that meetings of the committee are being held. The process of preparing its draft is going on.
