Now the drone sector will get expansion in Uttarakhand. For this, the cabinet has approved the Uttarakhand Drone Promotion and Use Policy. Through this policy, the government has set a target of investment of one thousand crore rupees in the construction and service sector in the state.
10 thousand people will get employment
In the policy, those investing in the field of drone manufacturing and service will be given a subsidy of up to one crore rupees. Along with this, the government has set a target of providing employment to 10,000 people through service and drone pilots in this sector. Drone is being seen as the future sector in the state. On Thursday, the Department of Information Technology presented a proposal for the Uttarakhand Drone Promotion and Use Policy in the cabinet.
This will be the advantage of using drones
The Drone Rules implemented by the Central Government in the year 2021 have been included in this policy. In this, the points of using drones in the strategic, health and service sectors have been included.
Arrangements have also been made in the policy for taking cooperation of drones in government works, drone corridor and drone traffic management. In this, arrangements have also been made to promote investors in the manufacture of drones, provide support to new startups and create awareness about drones among the general public.
10 member state drone committee will be formed
In this, a provision has also been made to give exemption from the provisions of MSME policy to those who invest Rs 100 crore and provide employment to 250 persons in the first year. The policy has proposed the constitution of a 10-member State Drone Committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, in which Secretary Information Technology will be in the role of Member Secretary.
