The Forest Department has put in all its strength to save the forests that are constantly burning due to fire in the state. Despite this, the incidents of fire are not decreasing. Within 24 hours on Thursday, 43 new incidents of fire took place in the state, in which a total of 62 hectares of forest area was damaged.
A total of 1011 hectares of forest area got burnt in 804 incidents.
So far in the fire season, 1011 hectares of forest area has been burnt in a total of 804 incidents. The process of burning of forests continues in Uttarakhand. The Forest Department is continuously trying to control the fire with the help of the Army. Mischievous elements are also increasing the problems of the forest department. So far this season, 315 cases have been registered under the Forest Conservation Act and forest crimes for setting fire in the forest. In which 267 cases have been filed against unknown and 48 cases against known persons. Also, till now a total of 52 persons have been arrested for setting fire in the forest.
