Doon’s climate started deteriorating even before Diwali
The climate of the urban area of Doon has started deteriorating even before Diwali. For the past few days, the AQI in the Ghantaghar area has been more than 100 and is continuously increasing. 24-hour third party monitoring of AQI is being done by Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board in 13 cities including Doon. Due to which respiratory problems may occur.

Readings of 13 cities are being taken one week before and one week after Diwali. Pollution Control Board Member Secretary IFS Parag Madhukar Dhakate said that efforts are being made to control pollution by sprinkling water through bodies in the city, public awareness campaign through e-rickshaws, organizing awareness programs through internet media.
