All police units across the state are on alert mode regarding India’s Operation Sindoor. The DGP has instructed patrolling with the force as well as SSB to remain vigilant on the India-Nepal border. Along with this, instructions have been given to increase the security of sensitive central institutions. DGP Deepam Seth said that all units of the police department across the state were put on high alert regarding India’s Operation Sindoor. Along with this, strict monitoring was done on central institutions, institutions related to defense etc., religious places and inter-state borders. Apart from this, a large-scale verification campaign was carried out in the state.
He said that for the Chardham Yatra, along with the police, PAC and SDRF, teams of ATS Guldar and Central Paramilitary Forces were deployed at identified places. The DGP said that social media is also being monitored continuously since the operation. He has warned of strict action by identifying those who post misleading posts or spread rumors.
