18 young men and women coming out of the shelter home will become self-reliant, the first batch will be prepared from the state

admin August 23, 2025

A new initiative has been taken in the direction of making the young men and women coming out of the child reform home and orphanage self-reliant in the state. The Women and Child Welfare Department has prepared the first batch of 18 such youths who will be given a job at an initial salary of about 19 thousand rupees per month after giving them three months of training at Haldiram Skill Academy in Noida. A multi-cuisine course is being organized in Noida for this batch. The training will begin with the organization of a state-level program in Haridwar on Friday. Where all 18 youths will be guided in a special session. They will be sent to Noida for training on August 25. Women and Child Welfare Director Banshi Lal Rana said that this program includes 12 such youths who have come out of the child reform home after completing 18 years of age.

Apart from these, six girls are from the orphan and destitute category. All of them are from Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts. Haridwar has the highest number of 13 young men and women, therefore the program is being started from Haridwar.

After completing the three-month course, they will be appointed to various jobs
Job is confirmed after residential training Chief Probation Officer Anjana Gupta said that this is the first batch from the state. They will be provided all facilities like accommodation, food, cleaning material, transport, uniform and mobile phone during the training. After completing the three-month course, they will be appointed to jobs in various outlets of Haldiram. After training, financial assistance will also be given in the first month of the job. The starting salary in the outlets will be Rs 18,902. Through this program, positive initiatives are being taken to secure the future of the youth coming out of reform homes and shelter homes and to make them a respected part of the society. This program is especially focused on rehabilitating those teenagers who come from the category of law disputes so that they can get a new and positive life. – Rekha Arya, Minister, Women and Child Welfare
