In view of the continuous heavy rains in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with all the District Magistrates on Monday. He directed the officials to remain active in the field with their entire team and take immediate action on the problems related to rain. The Chief Minister said that if roads, drinking water and power lines are disrupted, they should be repaired as soon as possible. In case of closure of connecting roads in rural areas, arrangements for alternative routes should be ensured. He also asked to quickly assess the damage to the crops and be prepared in advance to deal with the waterlogging situation. Along with this, instructions were given for strict legal action in cases of fake ration cards, Aadhar cards, Ayushman cards etc. The Chief Minister also asked for regular inspection of hospitals in all the districts, monitoring the quality of construction works, and review of government schemes. He emphasized on the use of indigenous products in government offices to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
