All party meeting convened for the purpose of taking opinion:
This is the first time that an all-party meeting was convened for the purpose of taking opinion before the date of the session was announced. In addition, independent legislators were also invited. From the kind of indications, it seems that the date for the session can be announced after November 15.
Preparations for the Assembly Secretariat completed:
Talking to reporters after the meeting, the Speaker said that whatever opinion came, she would inform the Chief Minister. It is the job of the government to decide when and where the session will be held. Whether the session is in Dehradun or in the summer capital Gairsain, the preparations for the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat are complete.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Agarwal, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, BSP MLA Mohammad Shahzad and Independent MLA Sanjay Doval were present in the all-party meeting chaired by Speaker Khanduri in the auditorium of the Vidhan Sabha building.
Where to hold the session:
The date of the session and where to organize it in Dehradun or Gairsain was discussed in the meeting. It was told that everyone had their say about this. The Speaker said that the leaders of all the parties were expected to cooperate in conducting the House peacefully and smoothly. She said that she would provide equal opportunities to all the members of the ruling party and the opposition in the house.
Later talking to reporters, the Speaker said that this meeting was called for the purpose of knowing the opinion about the session. Independent MLAs were called as invited members in it. To a question, he said that Gairsain is the center of public sentiment and sessions should be held there. The budget session should be held in Gairsain in any case.
He said that the House represents the collective aspirations of the state and it is the responsibility of the members to voice the concerns of the people they represent amidst the dignity and rules of the House. On another question, he said that exercise is going on for the appointment of Secretary in the Vidhan Sabha.

Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that Gairsain is our commitment and the assembly session should be held there. Now Gairsain has become the summer capital. There have also been sessions in tents and sessions have been held in December. Arya told that he kept the same thing in the all-party meeting also. The government has to decide when and where the session will be held.
