The initiative of Pushkar Singh Dhami government paid off. More than one lakh government personnel of the state became eligible for corporate salary package. As salary account holders, they and their families will get personal insurance coverage and other facilities ranging from Rs 30 lakh to Rs 1 crore. In the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal, the government signed contracts with five banks – SBI, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, Canara Bank and District Cooperative Bank on Wednesday. The Dhami government has fulfilled the much-awaited demand of the personnel of the state. About 64 percent of the government personnel of the state, who have accounts in these five banks, will benefit from this contract. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on this occasion that efforts will be made to ensure that 100 percent of the employees take advantage of this package in future.
In the branches of all these banks, other financial benefits along with insurance cover will be provided to the salary account holders. Under this, benefits and other facilities payable as compensation to the dependents of the personnel in case of accidental death, total disability and partial disability will be provided without paying any premium.
