There will be no VIP Darshan in all the four Dhams till June 10. Earlier this period was fixed till May 31. The government has taken this step in view of the continuous crowd of pilgrims in the Dhams. In line with the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has sent a letter in this regard to the Chief Secretaries of all the states and Union Territories. Chief Secretary Raturi expressed gratitude in the letter for the cooperation given by all the states so far. He said that the cooperation given by the states to make the general public aware has helped the government to effectively manage the Chardham Yatra. He has urged all the states to postpone the visit of eminent persons and officials to Chardham till June 10.
This time double the number of pilgrims are flocking to the Chardham Yatra as compared to last time. Due to this, some difficulties were also faced at the beginning of the journey, but later the situation was controlled after the intervention of Chief Minister Dhami. The Chief Minister is constantly monitoring the travel arrangements.
In line with his instructions, the arrangement for VIP darshan in the Dhams was banned till 31 May. Even then, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary had sent a letter to all the states requesting that a system of mandatory registration has been made for the Char Dham Yatra. The states were asked to widely publicize it for the convenience of the devotees.
