
BJP, which has entered the fray for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttarakhand, has started the exercise regarding the candidates. In this sequence, the panel of contenders for the five Lok Sabha seats will be discussed in the meeting of BJP’s State Parliamentary Board to be held on February 27. After this this list will be sent to the central leadership. BJP’s State Election Management Committee meeting is also to be held on 27th February.
Will submit the names of the claimants to the provincial leadership
In view of candidate selection, the state BJP had sent teams of two provincial officials to all the five Lok Sabha constituencies. These teams interacted with district, divisional and booth level officials of the party as well as intellectuals in each Lok Sabha constituency. These teams will prepare a panel of names of potential contenders for each seat and submit its list to the provincial leadership on Monday evening.

The names suggested by the teams sent to the Lok Sabha constituencies will be discussed in the meeting of the BJP’s State Parliamentary Board to be held on February 27. Besides, a panel of candidates will also be made to be sent to the central leadership. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, State President Mahendra Bhatt and other officials will be present in the meeting.
